R.E paragraph

In Jesus’ time things were very different. food was bread, fish, milk, cheese berries and honey. Only a small amount of meat was eaten and vegies and fruit, nuts, things like that were eaten alot. Medicine was different too. Berries were good for health, frankincense for colds, mhyyr for fever. The best was garlic as it had anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-parasitic and anti-oxidant properties.Money was like it is now but with real gold, silver and bronze peices and different worths. A gold was worth 10 slivers and a silver was worth 30 bronzes. As you can see life was very different to what it is now. So ask yourself this: would you rather live in Jesus’ time or ours???

Book Review

Title: The Supernaturalist

Author: Eoin Cloifer

Genre: Science Fiction

Cosmo Hill is a 14 year old orphan who wants a better life. His chance at escape comes when his class bus crashes and the guard breaks his nose. He makes a run for it and jumps off a roof... landing straight in a power box with metal hand cuffs on. As his heart slows a strange creature starts sucking his life force. Suddenly he is thrust into a series of events that will change his life forever.

I liked the descriptive language. I could see the setting and characters in my mind easily. The story line was good in the way it progressed and showed how the characters felt. What I didn't really like was that the book sometimes went away from the main topic and went to something completely unrelated.

I think that this book had no message but it was still a really good book. I think the point of writing the book was for the author to make another book series while he wrote another Artemis Fowl book and people were starting to get bored. He make other books like this one to give readers a break from Fowl, but still make a ton of cash.

So that's the end of my book review. I would recommend this book to people who have read Artemis Fowl or those who love Science fiction books or like a good and averagely long read. I would also recommend the Artemis Fowl series.

Learning About Learning

Our school is doing workshops to learn about learning. The workshop I was in was for texts and finding useful information. We are now doing a project about Blackbeard the pirate. To find our info for this we must use what we learn about skimming and scannig.

Choice Writing

This is part of a story I am currently writing.

The 15 Mutants

Year 2045

"Run! The zombots are coming!" The city is in panic. The zombots are coming and its all because of roboVirus mark 1.56. The only thing I can do is call the others. "Computer.exe call the other 3 great powers of the world."
Confirmed. The word scrolls across the screen. "Power one, Sebastian, here."
"Power two, Kaleb, here."
"Power three, Keane, here."
"And Power four, Joe, here. And we got trouble. Are the zombots coming for your main areas too?"
"yes" came the reply all of them. 'Oh no' I think 'the time has come.'
"The time has come. Touch the source of your power and take the experimental cure. The time to fight has come."

The battle is intense. I use my power to buy the people time. But the odds are to great. For every zombot i destroy another 3 take its place. Slowly my power fades. I feel the others power flicker then go out. My time is near too. The zombots get through and everything goes black.

Saint Dominic

One man. One goal. One God.
Saint Dominic was a man armed with only a book and a staff. He gave up a life of wealth and power to follow the lord and bring light to the world. He lived 800 years ago and started the order of preachers or O.P. Dominic is important to us today because the Dominican sisters our school, and the Dominican sisters were started by Dominic himself.
